WELCOME TO SACRED HOLLOW

Sacred Hollow is a small family run business.
It began in Australia in 1999 by two brothers, Steve and Donald Brodsky.

While in Australia we became close friends with Kenny Dickson of the Dhungatti tribe. He taught us the art of harvesting and building didjeridus. This is when Sacred Hollow was born. Kenny has worked for many years on aboriginal rights and has educated us on the impacts of the import/export business, over-harvesting and the mass production of didjeridus. Forests are being over cut and poorly managed and its getting harder and harder to find good playing instruments. In creating our business, we were determined to produce concert quality instruments, without compromising our morals.

Being professional musicians, we build each instrument to perform at the level that is required when playing on stage or in the studio. Each didjeridu is crafted by hand, numbered and precisely tuned.

A lot of love and care goes in to each didjeridu, and their are no two alike. This can give the beginner player a chance to own an instrument that they can learn to play on, along with the capability of pushing them to play better.

We use only sustainably harvested, termite hollowed eucalyptus timber and non-toxic finishes. We continue to support Aboriginal culture by having our Aboriginal friends from different communities collect multiple species of eucalyptus throughout Australia. This gives us the artistic freedom to build traditional instruments our own way.

Mother nature creates these instruments, we only help bring them to life.

Welcome to our family!
-Steve and Donald Brodsky
