Ecological Impact and Your Health
Sacred Hollow's goal is to create beautiful pieces of art, with concert quality performance, while still maintaining our pledge to be an environmentally conscious business.
We use only sustainably harvested termite hollowed Eucalyptus timber. We support Aboriginal families throughout Australia who practice sustainable timber harvesting.
All of our instruments are finished with non-toxic food grade oils. These oils are free from any hazardous substances, have no harmful vapors during application, and never off gas from the dried coat. They are made with renewable raw materials and are completely bio-degradable. Even in direct contact, they are harmless to humans, animals and plants.
Our mouthpieces are constructed using certified organic beeswax. There are no pesticides or miticides of any kind sprayed on the bee hives. There are no dangerous additives or paraffin added, which you will find in most over the counter wax. Extra propolis, a bee byproduct, is added for its natural anti-septic anti-bacterial properties, keeping the mouthpiece sanitary and free from any germs.
The didjeridu is a wind instrument that has very close contact with your skin, eyes and lungs. We feel that it is very important to offer a completely non-toxic instrument, not just for the earth, but for the health of us all.
